Part-Time ESOL Instructor

The JCC of Greater Coney Island is seeking experienced, part-time Adult ESL Instructors to provide English language instruction to adult learners throughout Brooklyn. We are currently hiring for both morning and evening classes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and testing students
  • Developing and delivering appropriate ESL instruction
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining required documentation
  • Supporting adult learners in achieving their language and educational goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prior experience teaching ESL to adult learners is required
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • BEST Plus 3.0 certification preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates who speak Russian, Spanish, and/or Mandarin

Compensation:
$47.74 per hour
